Family Trip To Malacca - June 2008

Our first family trip overseas (after Javier is born).

We went to Malacca from 14 Jun 08 to 16 Jun 08. Our itinerary mainly include eating Nonya Food, Chicken Ball Rice, shopping at the new Mega Mall and the usual Mahkota Parade.

Our initial plan was to stay in Mahkota Family Suite for two nights. However, due to late booking and June school holiday, we only managed to book it for 15 Jun 08. On 14 Jun 08, we stayed in a weird hotel named Aldy Hotel @ Chinatown. There is no lift nor bath tub but luckily the bedroom is still clean. After many trip of going up and down the 3 level of stairs, we shifted happily to Mahkota Resort the next day.

Swimming session at Mahkota Resort... it's fun.

Our home-made Kungfu Panda... so sweet & cute.

About our favorite animated movie - Kungfu Panda :
A harmless panda becoming the fierciest dragon warrior! Well, Po, the giant panda not only becomes the unexpected hero in this animation flick, but he saves others from destructions.
Po is clumsy and loves eating. But he is good at nothing except dreaming about kungfu in his mother’s noodle shop all day and night. His enthusiasm, however, lands him from the dream world to reality when he is unexpectedly chosen to become the next dragon warrior. Nobody believes in him, and he is looked with disdain even by his reluctant trainer Master Shifu.
Being in the shadow of his superheroes, the Furious Five —Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey — is one thing, but to lead and fight the powerful-treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung, Po needs claws of determination and courage which he eventually finds.
Morally, the film has everything right. It speaks of the right to have one’s own dream, grit, determination and the hidden inner strength besides personal weaknesses which could be turned into a tool for success.
From an entertainment angle, there is a lot to laugh about Po and his adventure; and at the same time admire the super-animation layouts which turn the whole movie into a wonderful piece of art work. The film also boasts of crystal clear sound effects. The voice-over by some of the biggest actors is a bonus point.
A must see for all nagging parents as well as for the young who want to pursue their own dreams.
